Overview

A strong Germany job profile starts with clear and honest documents. You do not need every possible document on the first day. But you should prepare the documents that help a German employer understand your experience, training and current situation.

This guide gives you a practical starting point before you submit your profile to workiOn.

Documents you should prepare first

  1. CV

Your CV should show your work history clearly. Include exact job titles, employer names, dates, tasks, tools, machines, kitchen sections or work areas. German employers need practical detail, not only general descriptions.

  1. Passport

You should have a valid passport or know when you can renew it. Do not send original documents by post unless a verified process specifically requires it.

  1. Training or education documents

If you have vocational training, technical school, culinary training, nursing education or other certificates, prepare digital copies. If your profession may require recognition in Germany, these documents can become important later.

  1. Work references

References from previous employers are very useful. They should ideally confirm your job title, dates of employment and main tasks. If you do not have formal references, prepare the contact details and basic information about your previous workplaces.

  1. Language certificates

If you have a German or English certificate, include it. If you do not have a certificate, state your current level honestly. Do not claim a level that you cannot demonstrate in an interview.

  1. Professional licences or registrations

For regulated professions, especially healthcare, official licences or registrations may be relevant. Do not pay for translations or additional document services before you receive a clear checklist for your specific process.

What makes your documents stronger

• Your name is written consistently across documents.
• Dates in your CV match your certificates and references.
• Your work experience is specific and verifiable.
• Your documents are readable as digital copies.
• You explain gaps or missing documents honestly.
• You do not edit, invent or improve documents artificially.

What you should not do

Do not send original documents by post without a verified request.

Do not pay anyone for a guaranteed job or guaranteed visa.

Do not buy fake certificates, fake references or edited documents.

Do not spend money on expensive translations before your profile has been reviewed and you receive a specific checklist.

How workiOn uses your documents

workiOn uses your documents to review whether your profile fits current Germany opportunities. If your profile fits, we may introduce you to a suitable German employer and coordinate interviews and next steps.

Your documents also help us understand what may be needed later in the process. The exact document requirements depend on the job, employer, profession, nationality and competent authorities.

Important

Submitting documents to workiOn does not guarantee a job, interview, visa or authority approval. German employers make hiring decisions. Competent authorities make decisions on residence, recognition and work authorisation.

workiOn does not charge candidates a recruitment fee.

Best next step

Prepare your CV first. Then collect certificates, references and language documents where available. If your profile fits a current opportunity, workiOn will explain which documents are needed next.
